Personalized Sound Comfort

 Our Solution

Snowfall Audio addresses unwanted noise for close proximity in open plan offices.  Through individual sound comfort and control, Snowfall Audio empowers the individual to customize their soundscape.  While other products add white noise on top of noise, our solution lowers the decibels in an individual’s work space, making for a healthier and more productive sound environment. The Snowfall Audio system can move wherever you or your employees need sound comfort.
Our initial plug and play product includes a hardware chip embedded with our proprietary active phase reverse algorithm. This is integrated into a system of speakers and a microphone for a full feature package.
  • Adaptive sound cancellation in open and changing sound environments
  • Only product that actively reduces decibel levels
  • Modular system that can be integrated into existing products
  • Flexible system that calibrates to your specific sound situation
  • WiFi enabled for remote diagnostics calibration
  • Controlled via smartphone or mobile devices

“…the number one complaint among office workers is noise.”      — NY Times

Initial Question

“How can we effectively reduce noise in the workplace?”

Investigation

  • 25 individual interviews with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, careers, and lifestyles
  • Extensive research into noise pollution and the effects, sound science, and US noise control
  • Blue Ocean Strategy technique to differentiate from the competition

 Key Insights

  • Studies from all over the world related to non-auditory health effects point out very real consequences of unwanted noise on the body.
  • Reduced noise pollution in the workplace increases productivity by lessening distractions and reducing stress.
  • There are two means to control noise: Active and Passive. Active noise control uses a power source. Passive noise control uses noise-isolating materials like insulation, sound tiles, padding, or a muffler on a car.
  • There are currently no products that use active off-the ear noise control for small spaces.
